Michael von Hausen has been cross-trained in development economics, landscape architecture, urban design, and planning. He is adjunct professor at Simon Fraser University and Vancouver Island University. Michael is the chief instructor and curriculum coordinator of the award-winning Urban Design Certificate Program at Simon Fraser University as well as developed and leads the School of Development courses for the Urban Development Institute, Pacific Region. His graduate studies in urban design at Harvard University specialized in real estate development economics. He is a registered landscape architect and was made a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Planner in 2016.
